I started making chokers as a way to fill more space on my artist alley table at conventions when I first started selling my art. I was only doing simple chokers at the time and wanted my table to stand out among the other booths. Every single convention I got happily lost in creating new choker designs and every single convention my chokers would sell out!

 I started getting very experimental with my designs early 2020. I posted my first choker packaging video on TikTok which garnered a large amount of views for me at the time and kick started interest in my work. I was able to run Magpie's Oddities full time 2 months later and still do it full time today.
